As the Imaginative Super President of the Rotaract Club of Uptown Cubao and the Incoming Youth Service Chair of the Rotary Club of Uptown Cubao, I had the honor of attending an extraordinary Annual Strategic Planning and Club Fellowship event held last May 27-28, 2023 at Lagunay Mountain Resort in Tanay, Rizal.
With Incoming Hope Creating President Roel Abatayo at the helm, this gathering of passionate individuals was dedicated to fostering hope and creating a positive impact in our community.
Under the theme “Create Hope in the World,” our event aimed to inspire change and empower participants to be catalysts of hope. It provided a platform for reflection, collaboration, and strategic planning, allowing us to set the stage for a future filled with meaningful service initiatives.
The unity between the Rotaract Club and the Rotary Club was at the core of this transformative event. Guided by our shared values and commitment to service above self, we harnessed our collective strength to address societal challenges. The Annual Strategic Planning and Club Fellowship created an environment that encouraged open dialogue, innovative thinking, and the exchange of ideas.
During workshops and brainstorming sessions, members from both clubs tapped into their creative potential, envisioning impactful projects and initiatives. We explored avenues for community development, discussed fundraising strategies, and sought partnerships with local organizations. The collaborative energy and enthusiasm in the room were truly inspiring, motivating us to take bold steps towards positive change.
The venue, Lagunay Mountain Resort, provided a serene backdrop that fueled our imagination and facilitated deep discussions. Surrounded by nature’s beauty, we found inspiration in our surroundings, allowing us to think outside the box and develop innovative approaches to our community’s challenges.
While the Annual Strategic Planning and Club Fellowship focused on professional development, it also fostered connections and camaraderie among members. Through team-building activities, recreational pursuits, and shared moments of laughter, we solidified our bonds and built a strong foundation for future collaboration.
The event concluded with a closing ceremony, filled with hope and anticipation for the journey ahead. Incoming Hope Creating President Roel Abatayo expressed gratitude for the commitment and dedication of all participants. Abatayo emphasized the power of hope as a driving force for transformative action, inspiring everyone to create a positive impact in their respective spheres of influence.
As the Imaginative Super President and the Incoming Youth Service Chair, I am thrilled to witness the remarkable potential of our club members. Guided by Incoming Hope Creating President Roel Abatayo’s leadership, we are poised to unleash our collective creativity and passion to make a lasting difference.
With “Create Hope in the World” as our guiding principle, we are determined to translate ideas into action, turning hope into tangible projects that uplift our community and inspire others to do the same. Together, as the Rotaract Club of Uptown Cubao and the Rotary Club of Uptown Cubao, we will strive to create a future where hope thrives and positive change becomes a reality.
As we bid farewell to the Annual Strategic Planning and Club Fellowship, we embrace the beginning of an exciting chapter. Armed with hope, determination, and a shared vision, we are ready to embrace the challenges ahead and make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve.
