Written by Mar. 19, 2024. The Rotary Club of Uptown Cubao, in partnership with the Rotary Club of New Manila East along with 20 other RID 3780 Rotary Clubs held an “Interclub Meeting on Charter Change” with former Comelec Commissioner Atty. Rene Sarmiento as Guest Speaker.
Atty. Rene presented the different pros and cons of Charter Change, along with the history of the different charter change initiatives over the years and why most have failed.
The event was well attended by many Rotarians and guests, filling up the venue at the Club Filipino in Greenhills.
Hope Creating RID 3780 Governor Paul Angel Galang also attended the event, and bravely voiced his support for an “economic provisions – only” changes to the Philippines Constitution.
