The RCUC Story: A bit of History

Spread the love:

The Rotary Club of Uptown Cubao [RCUC] was chartered in December 16, 1985 at the Sulo Hotel in Manila, with the theme “YOU ARE THE KEY”.

It was a result of several months of preparations, starting in March 1985 when PP Oca Inocentes was asked by then District Gov. Fil Mendoza of District 3810 to give a life to a new club, the Rotary Club of Uptown Cubao. PP Oca was also appointed District Governor Special Representative.

On May 7, 1985, RCUC conducted its first meeting at the Inocentes Farmhouse in Quezon City with 12 proposed charter members.

On June 7, 1985, PP & DGSR Oca Inocentes submitted to Rotary International the application with 21 charter members.
