The Rotary Club of Uptown Cubao (RCUC) has earned praises and honors during the Rotary International District 3780 Awards Night held on June 11, 2023 at the Manila Hotel.
With the theme “Dreamers and Doers“, the event turned out to be one of the most unforgettable moments for RCUC in its 38 years of existence.
The Club was one of the 10 nominees and the eventual winner for the much coveted Most Outstanding Rotary Club – (Bronze, Small Club Category).
Imaginative Super President Ariel B. Cardenas was awarded as Most Outstanding Rotary Club President – (Bronze, Small Club Category), and also received a trophy for Leadership Excellence.
Club Secretary and Incoming Hope Creating President Roel Abatayo shared the stage with other winners having won the Most Outstanding Club Secretary while Past President (LCP) Richard Silva received his Distinguished Leadership Award trophy as District Assistant Governor, and Most Outstanding Club Information and Communications Officer (CICO) – (Bronze, Small Club Category).
RCUC members in attendance include Past President (TGP) and Club TRF Chair Alex Cruz, Past President (IP) and Club Treasurer Jun Geronimo, President Nominee / Incoming Club Secretary and Membership Chair Barbie Garlan and RACUC Past President and Incoming Public Image Chair Princess Silva.

“The recently concluded Rotary International District Awards with the theme “Dreamers and Doers” was truly an amazing night. It was a successful event mainly to recognize individual talents and clubs effort in community service projects. RC Uptown Cubao are lucky to received those awards and we are thankful to Gov Florian Enriquez and to the award committees lead by AKS Arnel Matteo Mateo. And to the community service chair lead by PP Pol Castillo . I also want to thank RC Uptown Cubao officers and members who supported me in this wonderful journey.”

The District Awards Night is an annual event of the Rotary International District 3780 recognizing the different service projects and initiatives of more than 100 Clubs of the District.
