Empowering Smiles: Uptown Cubao’s Inspiring Journey with Alay Ngiti Barangay Dental Mission

Spread the love:

In our community where access to dental care is often a luxury, there shines a beacon of hope — the Alay Ngiti Barangay Dental Mission, a collaborative effort led by the Rotaract Club of Uptown Cubao, Rotary Club of Uptown Cubao, and MBA students from the prestigious Ateneo Graduate School of Business, S09 Project Management class. Their mission? To bring not just dental care but also education to the underserved corners of Barangay Vasra and Barangay Socorro, Quezon City.

Picture this: a dedicated team of Rotaractors, Rotarians, and MBA students, fueled by passion and compassion, coming together to break barriers. Supported by local authorities, government agencies, and generous partners and sponsors like JCI Manilena, Ateneo Graduate School Business Alumni Association Inc., Quezon City Health Department, The Tent City, Virginia Food Inc., International Pharmaceuticals Inc. (IPI), Jollibee Foods Corporation, Magdalino Fragrances, Gardenia, Unilab, Monde Nissin, and Nature’s Spring, they turned dreams into reality.

Last May 5, 2024, history was made. The mission surpassed expectations, delivering smiles and essential dental services to our beneficiaries. With a total of 187 tooth extractions, alongside 86 successful fluoride applications, lives were transformed, and hope was restored.

But the impact didn’t stop there. Beyond dental procedures, the event saw the distribution of vital supplies, ensuring sustainable support for the community’s oral health.

This wasn’t just a mission; it was a testament to the power of unity, resilience, and empathy. Uptown Cubao didn’t just share smiles; they empowered them.
