In tribute to the enduring legacy of Judge Oscar “Oca” Inocentes, beloved Chartering Sponsor and Past District Governor of the Rotary Club of Uptown Cubao (RCUC), the club is proud to hold it’s 4th PDG Oca Inocentes Memorial Golf Tournament on September 18, 2024, at the Veterans Golf Club in Quezon City.
This annual event is more than just a golf tournament—it is a celebration of service, leadership, and community impact, reflecting the values that PDG Oca Inocentes exemplified throughout his life and Rotary journey.
Commemorating Rotary Club of Uptown Cubao’s Beginnings
The tournament also marks a meaningful point in RCUC’s history. It commemorates the submission of the club’s charter application to Rotary International on June 7, 1985, which led to the official recognition of the club on December 17, 1985. This celebration reminds us of the strong foundations on which RCUC was built—foundations laid by visionaries like PDG Oca.
Swinging for a Cause
As a fundraising event, the tournament aims to support the club’s ongoing projects at its adopted school and barangay. Proceeds will directly benefit RCUC’s initiatives focused on education, community development, and health—key areas where the club continues to make a meaningful difference.
Golfers, sponsors, and community partners are invited to participate in this noble cause, enjoy a day of camaraderie on the course, and honor a man whose leadership continues to inspire generations of Rotarians.
Keeping the Flame of Service Alive
The Rotary Club of Uptown Cubao is deeply committed to preserving the legacy of PDG Oca Inocentes by continuing the work he so passionately championed. Through events like this memorial tournament, we keep his spirit of service above self alive in every swing, every project, and every life touched.
